Stat. tit. 69, § 69-1004","heading":"Disposition of unneeded portions of rights-of-way by","body":"counties or cities - Procedure - Approval.\n\nWhenever circumstances alter the highway, road or street\n\nrequirements or needs of a county or city, after such county or city\n\nhas purchased or acquired by eminent domain, any strip, piece or\n\nparcel of land so that such property, or any part thereof, is no\n\nlonger needed for such purposes, the board of commissioners of such\n\ncounty or the governing board of such city is authorized to sell all\n\nright, title and interest of the county or city in such real\n\nproperty as herein provided. Such property shall be disposed of in\n\nthe manner set forth in Title 69, Oklahoma Statutes, Section 1001;\n\nprovided, however, no such property which has been or is at the time\n\nof such disposal a portion of the State Highway System shall be\n\noffered for sale or in any manner disposed of by the county or the\n\ncity unless notice in writing has first been given to the State\n\nHighway Director, and the State Highway Director has approved of\n\nsuch sale or other disposal of such property in writing.","path":["OK Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os69.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"c716881c9bbc290817f02634d986134a6154c098ad83461ece56e5ae796a00df","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1003","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
