Stat. tit. 69, § 69-1254","heading":"Prohibition on operation of junkyards or facilities","body":"No person, firm or corporation shall establish, operate or\n\nmaintain a junkyard or scrap metal processing facility, any portion\n\nof which is within one thousand (1,000) feet of the nearest edge of\n\nthe right-of-way of any interstate or primary highway, except the\n\nfollowing:\n\n(a) Those which are screened by natural objects, plantings,\n\nfences or other appropriate means so as not to be visible from the\n\nmain traveled way of the system, or otherwise removed from sight.\n\n(b) Those located within unzoned industrial areas, which areas\n\nshall be determined from actual land uses and defined by regulations\n\nto be promulgated by the Commission.\n\n(c) Those located within areas which are zoned for industrial\n\nuse under authority of state or local law, regulation or ordinances.\n\n(d) Those which are not visible from the main traveled way of the\n\nsystem.","path":["OK Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os69.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0233f27ed2986ff02b9fa7a53cea7b0fb66c6b3e0e1c02e8e5d40257f9f8dca9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1253","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1254a"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
