Stat. tit. 69, § 69-1311","heading":"Award of contract","body":"(a) At the time and place specified in the notice to\n\ncontractors, the governing body or the board of county commissioners\n\nshall examine all bids received and, without unnecessary delay,\n\naward the contract to the lowest and best bidder, who will perform\n\nthe work and furnish the materials which have been selected and\n\nperform all the conditions imposed by the governing body or the\n\nboard, as prescribed in the resolution for work and the notice for\n\nproposals.\n\n(b) The aggregate amount of the contract shall not exceed the\n\naggregate estimate of cost submitted by the engineer for the\n\nimprovement and, in the event of any excess in cost over the\n\nengineer's estimate, such excess shall be void and no assessments\n\nfor such excess levied.\n\n(c) In the event any acquisition of site is necessary, the award\n\nof the contract may be made before or after the time such eminent\n\ndomain proceedings as may be required are completed.\n\n(d) The governing body or board of county commissioners shall\n\nhave the right to award a contract for all or a portion of such\n\nlimited access facility, or to reject any or all bids, and to\n\nreadvertise for such further bids as in its judgment are desirable.","path":["OK Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os69.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6c4d041514145de57f1765977505f76da244073cd8833d9b56ecd74ca47d66f4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1310","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1312"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
