Stat. tit. 69, § 69-1323","heading":"Assessments - When payable","body":"(a) The first installment of such assessment, together with\n\ninterest upon the whole assessment from the date of the passage of\n\nthe assessing ordinance or resolution to the first of the next\n\nSeptember, shall be due and payable on or before the 1st day of\n\nSeptember, next succeeding the passage of the ordinance or\n\nresolution; provided, that if such assessing ordinance or resolution\n\nis not passed prior to the 1st day of July, the first installment of\n\nthe assessment shall be due and payable with interest from the date\n\nof passage to the 1st day of September of the following year.\n\n(b) In case any installment or interest is not paid when due,\n\nthe unpaid installment and the unpaid interest thereon shall draw\n\ninterest at the rate of twelve percent (12%) per annum from maturity\n\nuntil paid, except as hereinafter otherwise provided.\n\n(c) With respect to assessments levied by any city, such\n\nassessments and interest whether collected by the city or the county\n\ntreasurer shall be paid to the city treasurer, who shall keep the\n\nsame in a separate special fund for the purpose of paying the bonds\n\nand interest coupons thereon issued against such assessments.\n\n(d) With respect to assessments levied by any board of county\n\ncommissioners, the same shall be collected by the county treasurer\n\nwho shall keep the same in a separate special fund and shall\n\ndisburse the same in the payment of bonds and interest coupons\n\nthereon issued against such assessments.\n\n(e) After the payment of all bonds and interest thereon, any\n\nsurplus remaining in the fund shall be used by the city or the board\n\nof county commissioners for the purpose of repairing or maintaining\n\nthe limited access facility and for no other purpose whatsoever.","path":["OK Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os69.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"738c2a37a640318b90ca983c12ca8e758e0751d83166b66766fa7d8d5a8d8a88","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1322","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1324"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
