Stat. tit. 69, § 69-1629","heading":"Veterans Memorial Highways","body":"Interstate Highway 40 westbound from the Interstate Highway 35\n\nand Interstate Highway 40 intersection to the state line shall be\n\ndesignated as the “Korean War Veterans Memorial Highway/Purple Heart\n\nTrail”.\n\nInterstate Highway 40 eastbound from where it intersects with\n\nInterstate Highway 44 to the state line shall be designated as the\n\n“Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway/Purple Heart Trail”.\n\nInterstate Highway 35 southbound from the Interstate Highway 35\n\nand Interstate Highway 40 intersection to the state line shall be\n\ndesignated as the “World War I Veterans Memorial Highway”.\n\nInterstate Highway 35 northbound from the Interstate Highway 35\n\nand Interstate Highway 40 intersection to the state line shall be\n\ndesignated as the “World War II Veterans Memorial Highway”.\n\nSuch names shall serve as an expression of the appreciation of\n\nthe entire State of Oklahoma and to memorialize the men and women\n\nwho served in the wars. The Department of Transportation shall\n\ncause suitable permanent markers to be placed and maintained on the\n\nhighways bearing such names.
