Stat. tit. 69, § 69-1716","heading":"Maintenance and repair of projects - Employees - Damage","body":"or destruction of private property - Lease of real property to\n\nAuthority by subdivisions and agencies.\n\n(a) Each turnpike project when constructed and opened to traffic\n\nshall be maintained and kept in good condition and repair by the\n\nAuthority. Each such turnpike project shall also be policed and\n\noperated by such force of police, toll-takers and other operating\n\nemployees as the Authority may in its discretion employ. All\n\nprivate property damaged or destroyed in carrying out the powers\n\ngranted by this article shall be restored or repaired and placed in\n\nits original condition as nearly as practicable or adequate\n\ncompensation made therefor out of funds provided under the Authority\n\nof this article.\n\n(b) All counties, municipalities and other political\n\nsubdivisions and all public agencies and commissions of the State of\n\nOklahoma, notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, are hereby\n\nauthorized and empowered to lease, lend, grant or convey to the\n\nAuthority at its request upon such terms and conditions as the\n\nproper authorities of such counties, municipalities, other political\n\nsubdivisions or public agencies and commissions of the state may\n\ndeem reasonable and fair and without the necessity for any\n\nadvertisement, order of court or other action or formality, other\n\nthan the regular and formal action of the authorities concerned, any\n\nreal property which may be necessary or convenient to the\n\neffectuation of the authorized purposes of the Authority, including\n\npublic roads and other real property already devoted to public use.","path":["OK Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os69.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ee9d9bbc0cb76f66aafcc415092a3a461bdd877746e72fb2a43e547d523aaa17","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1715","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-1717"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
