Stat. tit. 69, § 69-1734","heading":"Contractors - Solicitation by employees to procure","body":"insurance or surety bonds.\n\nNo officer, consultant, agent, or employee of the Authority and\n\nno person acting or purporting to act on behalf thereof shall, with\n\nrespect to any contract, require the contractor or any subcontractor\n\nto make application to or to obtain or procure any of the surety\n\nbonds and any other type of insurance specified in connection with\n\nsuch contract, or specified by any law, from a particular insurance\n\nor surety company, agent, or broker. This section shall not,\n\nhowever, prevent the exercise, by such officer or employee, on\n\nbehalf of the Authority, of the right to approve the form,\n\nsufficiency, or manner of execution of the surety bonds or other\n\ntype of insurance contracts furnished by the insurance or surety\n\ncompany selected by the contractor or subcontractor to underwrite\n\nthe bonds, or other types of insurance contracts. Any provisions in\n\nany invitation for bids, or in any of the contract documents, in\n\nconflict herewith are hereby declared to be contrary to the public\n\npolicy of this state.
