There is hereby created the Oklahoma Route 66 Commission.\n\nThe Commission shall be composed of nine (9) members. The members\n\nshall serve as follows:\n\n1. One member shall be appointed by the Governor and selected\n\nfrom the Commissioners of the Oklahoma Tax Commission, whose first\n\nterm shall be for one (1) year, and then renewable for three-year\n\nterms thereafter;\n\n2. One shall be the Executive Director of the Oklahoma\n\nDepartment of Transportation, or his or her designee, whose first\n\nterm shall be for two (2) years, and then renewable for three-year\n\nterms thereafter;\n\n3. One shall be the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Tourism\n\nand Recreation Department, or his or her designee, whose first term\n\nshall be for three (3) years, and then renewable for three-year\n\nterms thereafter;\n\n4. Three members shall be appointed by the President Pro\n\nTempore of the Oklahoma State Senate of which:\n\na. one shall be a citizen of a county containing a\n\nportion of Route 66, whose first term shall be for one\n\n(1) year, and renewable for three-year terms\n\nthereafter,\n\nb. one shall be a city manager, assistant city manager,\n\nor economic development director for a municipality on\n\nRoute 66 with a population greater than ten thousand\n\n(10,000), whose first term shall be for two (2) years,\n\nand renewable for three-year terms thereafter, and\n\nc. one shall be an Oklahoma citizen with expertise or\n\nexperience in historic preservation, whose first term\n\nshall be for three (3) years, and then renewable for\n\nthree-year terms thereafter; and\n\n5. Three members shall be appointed by the Speaker of the\n\nOklahoma House of Representatives of which:\n\na. one shall be a citizen of a county containing a\n\nportion of Route 66, whose first term shall be for one\n\n(1) year, and then renewable for three-year terms\n\nthereafter,\n\nb. one of whom shall be a business owner whose business\n\nis located along Route 66 within a city or town whose\n\npopulation is less than ten thousand (10,000), whose\n\nfirst term shall be for two (2) years, and then\n\nrenewable for three-year terms thereafter, and\n\nc. one shall be an Oklahoma citizen with expertise or\n\nexperience in marketing, whose first term shall be for\n\nthree (3) years, and then renewable for three-year\n\nterms thereafter.\n\nB.
