There is hereby created in the State Treasury a revolving\n\nfund to be known as the \"County Improvements for Roads and Bridges\n\nFund\". The fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal\n\nyear limitations, and shall consist of all appropriations and\n\ntransfers made by the Legislature and the apportionments made\n\npursuant to subsection L of Section 1104 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes. All monies accruing to the credit of said fund are hereby\n\nappropriated and may be budgeted and expended beginning with the\n\nfiscal year ending June 30, 2008, and each fiscal year thereafter\n\npursuant to subsection B of this section. Expenditures from said\n\nfund shall be made upon warrants issued by the State Treasurer\n\nagainst claims filed as prescribed by law with the Director of the\n\nOffice of Management and Enterprise Services for approval and\n\npayment.\n\nB. The funds apportioned pursuant to subsection L of Section\n\n1104 of Title 47 of the Oklahoma Statutes shall be in equal amounts\n\nto the various Transportation Commission districts. The funds shall\n\nbe used for the sole purpose of construction or reconstruction of\n\ncounty roads or bridges on the county highway system that are of the\n\nhighest priority as defined by the Transportation Commission.\n\nCounties may accumulate annual funding for a period of up to five\n\n(5) years for a specific project, with such funding to be held by\n\nthe Transportation Commission to the credit of the county project.\n\nThe Transportation Commission shall promulgate rules for the\n\nadministration of the process and the development of criteria for\n\ndetermining the level of priority for projects and include such\n\nprojects in a five-year construction plan that will be updated\n\nannually. Projects in the five-year construction plan shall be\n\ncontracted as provided by law and awarded by the Transportation\n\nCommission.\n\nC. The fund shall be invested in whatever instruments are\n\nauthorized by law for investments by the State Treasurer and the\n\ninterest earned by any investment of monies from the fund shall be\n\ncredited to the fund which shall earn the same, if there is any\n\nunexpended balance of such fund to which to credit the interest.\n\nThe interest credited herein shall be expended pursuant to this\n\nsection.","path":["OK Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os69.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"fba1c7c7f597fb2ad24e017dc22b46d983b6f045522bd66404552f8b3aa1467b","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-506","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-508"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
