Stat. tit. 69, § 69-602","heading":"State and county highways - Connection with city paving -","body":"Federal aid.\n\n(a) A hard surfaced state or county highway may be extended into\n\nthe corporate limits of a municipality to connect with the paving of\n\nsuch municipality under the following conditions:\n\n(1) When any state or county highway within any county has been\n\ncompleted with hard surface to the limits of any municipality which\n\nmaintains a system of street paving but none of the paved streets of\n\nwhich reach to or connect with such hard surfaced state or county\n\nhighway; or\n\n(2) When such paved streets are not at a greater distance than\n\ntwo (2) miles from such hard surfaced highway; or\n\n(3) If the board of county commissioners of such county finds\n\nand so certifies of record that such municipality is unable to\n\nextend its paving to connect with such hard surfaced state or county\n\nhighway by reason of the value of abutting real estate that would be\n\nliable for such paving being inadequate to sustain the cost thereof;\n\nor\n\n(4) If it will be for the best interests of the citizens and\n\nresidents of such county that such hard surfaced highways be\n\nconnected with the paving in such municipality by a hard surfaced\n\nroad.\n\n(b) Provided, however, that the cost of such extension within\n\nsuch municipality as herein provided shall be borne by the county\n\nwithin which such municipality is located.\n\n(c) Provided, further, that when federal aid may be obtained,\n\nthe board of county commissioners shall take such action as will\n\nsecure federal aid available for the construction of any hard\n\nsurfaced road or street as authorized by this section.","path":["OK Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os69.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"100c1094840d1bb641b2f69bca78c8a476f8272f5311837834acc3260a1c6d33","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-601.8","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-603"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
