Stat. tit. 69, § 69-614","heading":"Convicts on rock pile or other public work","body":"When, in the judgment of the board of county commissioners, the\n\nexpense of working the convicts upon the public highways is too\n\ngreat, on account of the small number thereof, or for any other\n\nreason, then it shall have authority to provide all necessary\n\napparatus for working of such convicts upon a rock pile, or rock\n\ncrusher, for the purpose of providing material for use upon the\n\npublic highways of the county. Such authority shall be exercised in\n\nthe same manner as is provided in the preceding section for the\n\nworking of convicts upon the public highways, and the board of\n\ncounty commissioners shall have full authority as to how and where\n\nsuch materials shall be used; provided, it shall use same for no\n\nother purpose than the betterment of the public highways in the\n\ncounty; provided, further, that in any county where the working of\n\nconvicts upon a rock pile, or rock crusher, is found impractical for\n\nany reason, then the board of county commissioners may provide for\n\nthe working of the convicts upon any public work in which the county\n\nhas an interest.","path":["OK Code","Title 69"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os69.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e71636e05dca43191d20319e80c3a5ea57d826cbac25734ad61f32924881de3e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-613","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-69-69-615"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
