Stat. tit. 69, § 69-659","heading":"County bridge standards - Demonstration bridge projects -","body":"Engineering services.\n\nThe Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to develop\n\na complete set of county bridge standards, including standards for\n\ndemonstration bridge projects and standards for county bridges with\n\nlow average daily traffic volumes as defined by the latest published\n\nversion of the County Roads Design Guidelines Manual. Such\n\nstandards shall be developed under the direction of the Bridge\n\nDivision of the Department and prior to implementation shall be\n\napproved by the Oklahoma Cooperative Circuit Engineering Districts\n\nBoard and the Transportation Commission. Such standards shall be\n\nfurnished without cost to local units of government. Monies\n\nreceived by the county pursuant to the County Bridge and Road\n\nImprovement Act, Section 657 et seq. of this title, may be used for\n\npurposes of obtaining engineering services. Only registered\n\nprofessional engineers, approved by the Department, experienced in\n\nthe design and construction of highway and related facilities, shall\n\nbe used for such services.
