At the intersection of a county road and a state highway,\n\nthe county shall maintain the county road to the point where it\n\nintersects with the travel lanes of the highway or the improved\n\nshoulder. The Department of Transportation shall maintain the\n\nexisting signage at the intersections to include replacement or\n\nrelocation of stop signs and vegetation control within three (3)\n\nfeet of the stop sign whether or not the sign is within the county\n\nright-of-way. The Department shall also maintain drainage\n\nstructures that are within the state’s right-of-way, that lie under\n\ncounty roads at the intersections of county roads and state\n\nhighways. The Department may place and maintain new or additional\n\nsigns at any such intersection at the discretion of the Department.\n\nThe county shall maintain any advance warning sign and sight line\n\nvegetation control to the intersection. The county may obtain from\n\nthe Department, at no cost to the county, replacement advance\n\nwarning signs.\n\nB. The Department of Transportation shall maintain the\n\nstructure of bridges and overpasses where a county road crosses over\n\nor under a state highway.
