Stat. tit. 7, § 7-8","heading":"Special library services to blind and physically handicapped","body":"persons.\n\nA. The state plan for library services shall be amended in\n\naccordance with the Federal Library Services and Construction Act\n\nand applicable regulations to reflect the authority and duty of the\n\nDivision of Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired of the\n\nState Department of Rehabilitation Services to provide special\n\nlibrary services, including braille and recorded books, to blind and\n\nvisually handicapped persons as provided by state law.\n\nB. Special library services for blind and physically\n\nhandicapped adults, children, and students shall be provided by the\n\nDivision of Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired of the\n\nDepartment in accordance with the Federal Library Services and\n\nConstruction Act, as amended, and applicable federal regulations\n\nrelating thereto; and consistent with applicable statutes and\n\nregulations. The Commission for Rehabilitation Services shall,\n\nwithin the availability of state funds, annually make available for\n\nsuch special library services sufficient funds to earn the maximum\n\navailable federal funds under the Federal Library Services and\n\nConstruction Act and appropriations made in pursuance thereof by\n\nCongress.\n\nC. All federal requirements for interlibrary cooperation and\n\nconsultation shall be observed and entitlement of the Department of\n\nLibraries to receive federal funds for library services or\n\nconstruction shall not be impaired by any state law prescribing the\n\nduties, responsibilities and functions of the Division of Services\n\nfor the Blind and Visually Impaired of the Department.","path":["OK Code","Title 7"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os7.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6432dcf56b45a57af63b14a0ca0fd8c45889bdda611007c0fe4733be21ef9407","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-7-7-78","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-80-80-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
