Stat. tit. 70, § 70-11-103.6f","heading":"Students transferring from out of state – Children","body":"of military families - Exceptions to graduation requirements.\n\nA. Prior to September 1, 2003, the State Board of Education\n\nshall adopt rules to ensure that students who transfer into an\n\nOklahoma school district from out of state after the junior year of\n\nhigh school of the student shall not be denied, due to differing\n\ngraduation requirements, the opportunity to be awarded a standard\n\ndiploma.\n\nB. The rules shall allow district boards of education to make\n\nexceptions on an individual student basis to the high school\n\ngraduation requirements of Section 11-103.6 of this title for such\n\nstudents who would be unable to meet the specific graduation\n\nrequirements without extending the date of graduation. Each\n\ndistrict board of education that grants exceptions pursuant to this\n\nsubsection shall report to the State Department of Education on or\n\nbefore July 1 of each year the number of students granted exceptions\n\nand reasons for the exceptions.\n\nC. By December 1, 2015, the State Board of Education shall\n\nadopt rules requiring school district boards of education to waive\n\nthe Oklahoma history high school graduation requirements of Section\n\n11-103.6 of this title for children of military families as defined\n\nin the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military\n\nChildren, set forth in Section 510.1 of this title, who transition\n\nwith the military from another state and who have satisfactorily\n\ncompleted a similar state history class in another state.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5a5b895ae19ff510a1b7c63d82cfa4a5a36dfd279c684974db52ba5169fd7164","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-11-103.6e","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-11-103.6g"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
