The State Board of Education, in collaboration with the\n\nState Board of Career and Technology Education and the Oklahoma\n\nState Regents for Higher Education, shall develop college and career\n\nendorsements that will provide distinction and direct student\n\ncoursework toward clear career pathways.\n\nB. A student may earn a college and career endorsement by\n\nsatisfying the curriculum requirements in any of the following\n\ncategories:\n\n1. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM),\n\nwhich may include but shall not be limited to courses directly\n\nrelated to science, including environmental science, technology,\n\nincluding computer science, engineering and advanced mathematics;\n\n2. Business and industry, which may include but shall not be\n\nlimited to courses directly related to database management,\n\ninformation technology, communications, accounting, finance,\n\nmarketing, graphic design, architecture, construction, welding,\n\nlogistics, automotive technology, agricultural science and heating,\n\nventilation and air conditioning;\n\n3. Public services, which may include but shall not be limited\n\nto courses directly related to health sciences and occupations,\n\neducation and training, law enforcement and culinary arts and\n\nhospitality;\n\n4. Arts and humanities, which may include but shall not be\n\nlimited to courses directly related to political science, world\n\nlanguages, cultural studies, English literature, history and fine\n\narts;\n\n5. Multidisciplinary studies, which allow a student to select\n\ncourses from the curriculum of each college and career endorsement\n\narea specified under this subsection and earn credits in a variety\n\nof advanced courses from multiple content areas; and\n\n6. Any other area of study as determined by the State Board of\n\nEducation.\n\nC. The State Board of Education, in collaboration with the\n\nState Board of Career and Technology Education, the Oklahoma State\n\nRegents for Higher Education and representatives of business, labor\n\nand industry, shall specify the curriculum requirements for each\n\ncollege and career endorsement specified in subsection B of this\n\nsection.\n\nD. For purposes of this section, applicable courses taken at a\n\ntechnology center school may, at the discretion of the State Board\n\nof Education, qualify for any of the courses required for a college\n\nand career endorsement.\n\nE.
