At the beginning of each school year, when the board of\n\neducation of a school district provides information on\n\nimmunizations, infectious disease, medications, or other school\n\nhealth issues to parents and guardians of students in grades six\n\nthrough twelve, the board shall include information about\n\nmeningococcal meningitis. The information shall include at least\n\nthe causes and symptoms of meningococcal meningitis, how it is\n\nspread, sources for additional information about meningococcal\n\nmeningitis, and the availability, effectiveness, and risks of\n\nvaccination against the disease.\n\nB. The State Department of Education, in cooperation with the\n\nState Department of Health, shall develop and make available to\n\nschool districts information that meets the requirements of\n\nsubsection A of this section.
