A diabetes medical management plan shall be developed for\n\neach student with diabetes who will seek care for diabetes while at\n\nschool or while participating in a school activity. The plan shall\n\nbe developed by the personal health care team of each student. The\n\npersonal health care team shall consist of the principal or designee\n\nof the principal, the school nurse, if a school nurse is assigned to\n\nthe school, the parent or legal guardian of the student, and to the\n\nextent practicable, the physician responsible for the diabetes\n\ntreatment of the student.\n\nB. The diabetes medical management plan shall indicate whether\n\nthe parent or legal guardian of the student with diabetes has given\n\nwritten consent for a school nurse, a school employee trained by a\n\nhealth care professional, or a volunteer diabetes care assistant, as\n\ndefined by Section 1210.196.2 of this title, to provide diabetes\n\ncare in accordance with Section 1210.196.5 of this title including\n\nbut not limited to the administration of glucagon to a student\n\nexperiencing a hypoglycemic emergency.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"214ab07ebf1f65e8a99053dd9265d47c2d9aa1e6c5deb14faafc9cccacb0d581","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-1210.196.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-1210.196.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
