Stat. tit. 70, § 70-1210.273","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Regional Education Service Center Act, except as\n\nthe context may otherwise require:\n\n1. \"Regional education service centers\" means educational,\n\nadministrative, service and evaluation centers, hereinafter referred\n\nto as \"centers\" or \"service centers\";\n\n2. \"Department\" means the State Department of Education;\n\n3. \"Board\" means the Oklahoma State Board of Education;\n\n4. \"IDEA\" means the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act\n\n(IDEA), P.L. No. 101-476;\n\n5. \"Educational screening\" means the implementation of accepted\n\nprocedures for identification of children who may have special\n\nlearning needs and may be eligible for special education and related\n\nservices in accordance with the IDEA;\n\n6. \"Evaluation\" means procedures used in accordance with\n\nfederal laws and regulations to determine whether a child has a\n\ndisability and the nature and extent of the special education and\n\nrelated services that the child needs. The term means procedures\n\nused selectively with an individual child and does not include basic\n\ntests administered to or procedures used with all children in a\n\nschool, grade, or class.
