Stat. tit. 70, § 70-1210.275","heading":"Responsibilities of service centers","body":"There shall be at least twenty service centers which shall\n\nprovide the services described herein to all the school districts in\n\nthe state. Every service center shall offer the schools and school\n\ndistricts which they serve professional assistance in the efforts\n\nwhich are aimed toward the improvement of instruction for students.\n\nEach center shall provide the following services:\n\n1. Evaluation services for the purposes of identification,\n\nevaluation and placement of children in special education programs,\n\nwhich shall be in accordance with the federal regulations\n\npromulgated under the IDEA, and in accordance with the Family\n\nEducation Rights and Privacy Act;\n\n2. Implementation of effective procedures, media, and equipment\n\nfor acquiring and disseminating significant information and\n\nmaterials in accordance with the federal regulations promulgated\n\nunder the IDEA;\n\n3. Individualized learning plans, which shall include\n\nprescriptive teaching plans to teachers, for students who are having\n\nlearning problems; consultation for educators and parents working\n\nwith or having students with learning problems; providing special\n\neducation material for special education teachers; and providing\n\nspecial education material on a prescriptive basis to the classroom\n\nteacher who has students with learning problems and consultation\n\nservices and interpretation of evaluation data to assist parents and\n\nmultidisciplinary teams in making educational placement decisions\n\nand planning for effective educational interventions in the least\n\nrestrictive environment;\n\n4. Assistance for organizing staff development, including the\n\noffering at each Center of conferences, institutes, and other in-\n\nservice training for educators working with students with special\n\nneeds; assistance in these programs for emphasizing the awareness,\n\nutilization and adaptation of appropriate materials, learning\n\ntheory, research findings, and other appropriate topics, to assist\n\nin implementation of federal regulations concerning the\n\ncomprehensive system of personnel development for educators and\n\ndisseminating information to parents; and\n\n5. Coordination and collaboration with public agencies and\n\nlocal school districts which are responsible for providing\n\nevaluation and other special education or related services to\n\nchildren with disabilities as provided under Section 1001 et seq. of\n\nTitle 74, Section 13-101 et seq. of Title 70 and Section 601.41 et\n\nseq. of Title 10 of the Oklahoma Statutes, and in accordance with\n\nthe federal regulations for interagency agreements promulgated\n\npursuant to the IDEA.
