Stat. tit. 70, § 70-1210.555","heading":"Technology education to middle school students -","body":"Pilot project.\n\nA. The State Board of Career and Technology Education is\n\nauthorized to assist, and, if funds including but not limited to\n\nstate appropriations are available, or if private or corporate\n\ndonations or other sources are matched in pilot projects, to make\n\ngrants to, local boards of education for the establishment of pilot\n\nprojects that would aid in the providing of technology education to\n\nmiddle school students. Funding may cover the cost of equipment,\n\nbooks and materials, and the start-up costs of developing the\n\ntechnology education program. Projects may involve entire\n\ndistricts, combinations of districts, combinations of schools, or\n\nelements of schools individually or in combination.\n\nB. If funds are available on or before March 31, 1993, the\n\nState Board of Career and Technology Education shall determine pilot\n\nproject criteria, and by July 1, 1993, solicit proposals, and\n\nestablish a process for the consideration of proposals. Such\n\nproposals for pilot projects shall be considered on a statewide\n\ncompetitive basis.\n\nC. The State Board of Career and Technology Education is\n\nauthorized to promulgate rules for the operation of such projects\n\nand to grant exceptions to rules for districts selected to operate\n\nsuch projects.
