Beginning with the 2024–2025 school year, all public high\n\nschools in this state shall make a minimum of four advanced\n\nplacement courses available to students.\n\nB. School district boards of education shall be responsible for\n\nensuring annually that all high school students have access to\n\nadvanced placement courses beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.\n\nSuch access may be provided through enrollment in courses offered\n\nthrough:\n\n1. A school site or sites within the district;\n\n2. A technology center school within the district;\n\n3. An online learning program offered by the Statewide Charter\n\nSchool Board or one of its vendors; or\n\n4. A school site or sites in another school district.\n\nC. The Statewide Charter School Board shall maintain an online\n\nlearning platform to provide high quality online learning\n\nopportunities for Oklahoma students that are aligned with the\n\nsubject matter standards adopted by the State Board of Education\n\npursuant to Section 11-103.6 of this title. The Board shall\n\nimplement online courses, with an emphasis on science, technology,\n\nengineering, and math (STEM) courses, foreign language courses, and\n\nadvanced placement courses. The online platform shall be available\n\nto all Oklahoma school districts.\n\nD. The State Department of Education shall provide information\n\nto all boards of education, to be distributed to their students and\n\nparents, on available opportunities and the enrollment process for\n\nstudents to take advanced placement courses. The information shall\n\nexplain the value of advanced placement courses in preparing\n\nstudents for postsecondary-level coursework, enabling students to\n\ngain access to postsecondary opportunities, and qualifying for\n\nscholarships and other financial aid opportunities.\n\nE. The State Department of Education shall retain records of\n\nwhich options outlined in subsection B of this section boards of\n\neducation selected for their students and make the information\n\navailable on the Department’s website.\n\nF.
