Stat. tit. 70, § 70-13-102","heading":"Determination of eligibility - Minimum time permitted","body":"to attend.\n\nThe determination whether a child is eligible for special\n\neducation and related services shall be the responsibility of the\n\nmultidisciplinary evaluation team of the school district in which\n\nsuch child has legal residence in accordance with the provisions of\n\nthe Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), P.L. No.\n\n101-476 and the rules approved by the State Board of Education. The\n\neligibility of children with disabilities shall be reevaluated at\n\nleast once every three (3) years or more frequently if conditions\n\nwarrant or if the parent or teacher of the child requests an\n\nevaluation as required under the Individuals with Disabilities\n\nEducation Act (IDEA), P.L. No. 101-476.\n\nAny child determined to be eligible shall be permitted to\n\nreceive such special education and related services for a minimum\n\nperiod of twelve (12) years. Successful completion of a secondary\n\neducation program must be determined through the individualized\n\neducation program (IEP) and transcript records of the student.\n\nEligibility for special education and related services shall cease\n\nupon a determination and documentation of graduation or completion\n\nof a secondary education program in accordance with the IEP.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"7d47796c8becbc36e5c416f4c1674ba61a18cb34296ea8261cae0ac27b179160","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-13-101.2","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-13-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
