To facilitate the education of a student who has been placed\n\nin state care, a receiving school district shall initially honor\n\nplacement of the student in educational courses based on the\n\nstudent's enrollment in the sending school district and/or\n\neducational assessments conducted at the sending school district. A\n\nreceiving school district shall be authorized to perform its own\n\nplacement evaluation to ensure appropriate placement of the student.\n\nB. In placing the student, the receiving school district shall\n\ntake into consideration the student's eligibility for:\n\n1. Gifted and talented programs, including but not limited to\n\nAdvanced Placement courses and International Baccalaureate courses;\n\n2. An English language learner program;\n\n3. Courses or a sequence of courses offered by a technology\n\ncenter school; and\n\n4. Extracurricular activities.\n\nC. 1. If an individualized education program (IEP) was in\n\nplace for the student at the sending school district, the receiving\n\nschool district shall initially provide comparable services, in\n\naccordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act\n\n(IDEA). The receiving school district shall conduct an evaluation\n\nof the student to determine eligibility for special education and\n\nrelated services, pursuant to Section 13-102 of Title 70 of the\n\nOklahoma Statutes.\n\n2.
