If the territory comprising an independent school district\n\nhas been established by the State Board of Career and Technology\n\nEducation as a technology center school district, and the boundaries\n\nof each are coterminous, the board of education of the technology\n\ncenter school district shall be separate from the board of education\n\nof the independent school district and no member of either board\n\nshall be eligible to serve on the other.\n\nB. Existing boards of education of technology center school\n\ndistricts which are comprised of members of the board of education\n\nof an independent school district with coterminous boundaries shall\n\nbe dissolved by the State Board of Career and Technology Education,\n\nand the offices of the members of such boards shall become vacant on\n\nthe first Monday in June, 1982. The State Board of Career and\n\nTechnology Education shall establish election districts for such a\n\ntechnology center school district which shall have boundaries\n\ncoterminous with the election districts of the independent school\n\ndistrict and which shall be numbered identically to the election\n\ndistricts of the independent school district.\n\nC. A separate board of education shall be created for such a\n\ntechnology center school district and its members elected in the\n\nmanner prescribed by the rules of the State Board of Career and\n\nTechnology Education except as hereafter provided:\n\n1. The Governor shall appoint members to those offices of the\n\nboard of education of such a technology center school district which\n\nwill become vacant on the first Monday in June, 1982, to staggered\n\nterms as follows:\n\na. two members shall be appointed to a term of one (1)\n\nyear. Each of these offices shall become vacant on\n\nthe first Monday in June, 1983,\n\nb. two members shall be appointed to a term of two (2)\n\nyears. Each of these offices shall become vacant on\n\nthe first Monday in June, 1984,\n\nc. two members shall be appointed to a term of three (3)\n\nyears. Each of these offices shall become vacant on\n\nthe first Monday in June, 1985, and\n\nd. one member shall be appointed to a term of four (4)\n\nyears. This office shall become vacant on the first\n\nMonday in June, 1986;\n\n2. Upon the expiration of the term of an office of the board of\n\neducation of a technology center school district prior to the\n\nexpiration of the term of an office of the board of education of the\n\nindependent school district in a coterminous election district, the\n\nGovernor shall appoint a board member to the office of the\n\ntechnology center school district for the number of years necessary\n\nto establish a coterminous term between the board members of the\n\ntechnology center school board and the independent school district\n\nin the coterminous election district;\n\n3. Thereafter, as the office of each member appointed to the\n\nboard of education of the technology center school district becomes\n\nvacant, it shall be filled by a member elected as prescribed by the\n\nrules of the State Board of Career and Technology Education except\n\nas herein provided;\n\n4. Elections of members to the board of education of the\n\ntechnology center school district shall be held on the same day as\n\nelections are held for election of members to the independent school\n\ndistrict;\n\n5. One member shall be elected from each election district by\n\nthe voters of that election district; and\n\n6.
