The Oklahoma Legislature, recognizing the need for improved\n\nmethods of helping secondary students make a smooth transition from\n\nhigh school to the workplace, hereby establishes guidelines for\n\nyouth apprenticeship programs.\n\nB. Youth apprenticeship programs shall be defined as learning\n\nprograms for young people enrolled in vocational education that\n\ncombine on-the-job learning with classroom instruction, that offer a\n\nbridge between secondary and post high school training and\n\neducation, and that result in certification of mastery of work\n\nskills.\n\nC. Youth apprenticeship programs shall be administered and\n\nsupervised by the State Board of Career and Technology Education,\n\nwhich shall also establish standards for program operation.\n\nD.
