Stat. tit. 70, § 70-14-134.1","heading":"Fee waivers for children of persons killed in the","body":"line of duty.\n\nA. Within the system of career technology districts, no fees\n\nshall be charged to:\n\n1. Children of Oklahoma peace officers as defined by Section\n\n648 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes who have given their lives\n\nin the line of duty;\n\n2. Children of Oklahoma firefighters who have given their lives\n\nin the line of duty;\n\n3. Children of commissioned members of the Oklahoma Law\n\nEnforcement Retirement System, who have given their lives in the\n\nline of duty; and\n\n4. Children of Oklahoma emergency medical technicians who have\n\ngiven their lives in the line of duty.\n\nB. Such waiver of fees shall be limited to a period of five (5)\n\nyears.\n\nC. Such waiver of fees shall be a service benefit of a\n\ncommissioned member of the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement\n\nSystem.\n\nD. For purposes of this section:\n\n1. \"Firefighter\" means a volunteer firefighter or a permanent\n\nsalaried professional member of any fire department within the State\n\nof Oklahoma; and\n\n2. \"Emergency medical technician\" means a person volunteering\n\nor employed as an emergency medical technician and who is licensed\n\nas an emergency medical technician pursuant to Section 1-2505 of\n\nTitle 63 of the Oklahoma Statutes.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"faeab3f55b01fef346c39c0097989de0b92d028bdda22bb2db26fc7bbcf413e8","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-14-134","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-14-135"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
