Stat. tit. 70, § 70-16-114.1","heading":"Allocation of funds for the purchase of textbooks","body":"The funds appropriated for the purchase of textbooks shall be\n\napportioned by the State Board of Education to each school district\n\npursuant to the provisions of Sections 16-101 through 16-124 of this\n\ntitle. Upon application from a local school district, the State\n\nBoard of Education may allocate funds appropriated for the purchase\n\nof textbooks to be used for the purchase of special education\n\ntextbooks or other instructional materials for those students\n\nenrolled in special education programs. Approval of funds shall be\n\nbased on the following formula:\n\nNo funds shall be provided for students attending special\n\neducation classes less than two (2) hours per day. Those\n\nattending two (2) hours or more per day but less than four\n\n(4) hours shall receive a one-half (1/2) allocation.
