Stat. tit. 70, § 70-16-122","heading":"Bribes - Punishment","body":"Any person who directly or indirectly promises or offers to\n\ngive, or causes to be promised, offered or given, any money, books,\n\nbribe, present or reward or any valuable thing whatsoever to any\n\nmember of the State Board of Education, the State Textbook\n\nCommittee, or a local textbook committee, or any member of a board\n\nof education, teacher or other person with the intent to influence a\n\ndecision on any question, matter, cause or proceeding in the\n\nselection or adoption of any textbooks, or series of textbooks, upon\n\nconviction, shall be guilty of a felony. Any teacher in the public\n\nschools of Oklahoma, any superintendent of a school district or any\n\nemployee of a school district who shall in any way be interested in\n\nthe profits, proceeds or sale of any school textbook used in the\n\npublic schools under such person's charge, or with which such person\n\nis connected in any official capacity, upon conviction, shall be\n\nguilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be punished by a fine of not less\n\nthan Fifty Dollars ($50.00) and not more than Two Hundred Dollars\n\n($200.00), and shall in addition thereto forfeit the office or\n\nposition.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ad769c543bcc084c3493f78cf62fe69c5d9fdae02868a32e320624fc867504cf","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-16-121","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-16-123"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
