Stat. tit. 70, § 70-17-105.1","heading":"Unpaid accumulated contributions - Payment to","body":"beneficiary or estate.\n\nIn the event the total retirement payments made to a retired\n\nmember and the retired member’s joint annuitant, if any, are less\n\nthan the member’s accumulated contributions with interest as\n\ncredited at the time of retirement under Section 17-105 of this\n\ntitle, the difference shall be paid to the member’s designated\n\nbeneficiary, or if no designated beneficiary survives, then to the\n\nmember’s estate. This provision shall apply to retired members\n\ndying on or after July 1, 1979. After paying unpaid accumulated\n\ncontributions to any designated beneficiary or the member’s estate\n\npursuant to this section, the Teachers’ Retirement System of\n\nOklahoma is discharged and released from any and all liability,\n\nobligation, and costs.
