Stat. tit. 70, § 70-17-122","heading":"Participation in retired teachers' organization","body":"When a member of the Teachers’ Retirement System of Oklahoma\n\nmakes an application to retire, the System shall provide to such\n\nmember an application to participate in a retired teachers’\n\norganization along with a form allowing the member to elect to have\n\nannual membership dues in a retired teachers’ organization prorated\n\nand authorizing the System to withhold such dues monthly from the\n\nmember’s retirement benefits. Any retired teachers’ organization\n\nwhich wants to participate, pursuant to this section, or to\n\nparticipate in a general mailing to all retired educators, with the\n\napproval of the Board of Trustees of the Teachers’ Retirement\n\nSystem, shall provide to the System and pay for the cost, including\n\npostage costs if required by the Teachers’ Retirement System, of\n\nprinted materials and of the applications to be a member of the\n\norganization and the forms authorizing the System to withhold\n\nmembership dues of the organization. The Board of Trustees shall\n\napprove the format and content of the authorization to make sure it\n\ncomplies with all relevant legal requirements.
