Stat. tit. 70, § 70-18-107","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this title:\n\n1. \"Average Daily Attendance\" (ADA) means the legal average\n\nnumber of pupils, early childhood education programs through grade\n\ntwelve, in a school district during a school year as determined\n\npursuant to the provisions of Section 18-111 of this title. A day\n\nof school for early childhood education programs and kindergarten\n\nshall be at least two and one-half (2 1/2) hours and, for early\n\nchildhood education, may be six (6) hours.\n\n2. \"Average Daily Membership\" (ADM) means the average number of\n\npupils present and absent in a school district during a school year.\n\nAverage Daily Membership shall be calculated by dividing the sum of\n\nthe pupil's total days present and total days absent by the number\n\nof days taught.\n\na. A pupil who has been absent without excuse ten (10)\n\nconsecutive days shall be taken off the roll beginning\n\nthe eleventh day and thereafter shall not be\n\nconsidered in a district's average daily membership\n\ncalculation until the pupil is placed on the roll in\n\nthe district. For the purpose of this paragraph,\n\nconsecutive days means days for which enrollment is\n\nrecorded.\n\nb. A pupil enrolled in a statewide virtual charter school\n\nwho is behind pace and has not completed instructional\n\nactivity as defined by Section 3-145.8 of this title\n\nfor a fifteen-school-day period, without excuse as\n\nauthorized by Section 10-105 of this title, shall be\n\ntaken off the roll beginning the sixteenth day and\n\nthereafter shall not be considered in the virtual\n\ncharter school's Average Daily Membership calculation\n\nuntil the pupil is placed on the roll in the virtual\n\ncharter school.\n\n3. \"Total Adjusted Assessed Valuation\" means the sum of public\n\nservice property assessed valuation, personal property assessed\n\nvaluation and real property assessed valuation as adjusted pursuant\n\nto the provisions of Section 18-109.1 of this title.\n\n4. \"Eighty-five percent (85%) of maximum allowable\", for the\n\npurpose of assessing class size penalty pursuant to Sections 18-\n\n113.1 and 18-113.2 of this title, means eighty-five percent (85%) of\n\nten percent (10%) of the preceding year's net assessed valuation of\n\na school district. The calculation of indebtedness as provided for\n\nin paragraph a of subsection G of Section 18-113.1 and subparagraph\n\na of paragraph 4 of subsection A of Section 18-113.2 of this title\n\nshall include the outstanding principal amount of bonds issued by\n\nthe school district plus the principal amount of any bonds\n\nauthorized by a vote of the people for issuance but not yet issued\n\nby the school district.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"247093a59dc7f701cdea407bc35172243e2fea45f26024bbc916aec6987eed9d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-18-105","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-18-107.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
