Beginning with the 1997-98 school year, the penalties for\n\nexceeding class size limitations established in Sections 18-113.1,\n\n18-113.2 and 18-113.3 of this title shall not apply if the class\n\nsize limitations, as set forth in said sections, are exceeded\n\nbeginning after the first nine (9) weeks of the school year. If the\n\nclass size limitations are exceeded during the first nine (9) weeks,\n\nthe penalties shall apply.\n\nB. For the purposes of calculating class size penalties\n\nestablished in Sections 18-113.1, 18-113.2 and 18-113.3 of this\n\ntitle, school districts shall use only the full-time-equivalency of\n\nthe instructional staff who are under contract to work the full\n\nschool year in question.\n\nC. Beginning July 1, 2003, school districts that participate in\n\nconsolidation or annexation pursuant to the provisions of the\n\nOklahoma School Voluntary Consolidation and Annexation Act shall be\n\nexempt from the provisions of Sections 18-113.1, 18-113.2 and 18-\n\n113.3 of this title for the year in which the consolidation or\n\nannexation occurs and for the next five (5) fiscal years.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"86e0979e81fcfa2d7485001edcded7859ce86eda18678a9b88e89784da700cfb","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-18-113.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-18-113.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
