Stat. tit. 70, § 70-2281","heading":"Former prisoners of war - Persons missing in action -","body":"Dependents - Free tuition.\n\nA. Any current or former prisoner of war or person missing in\n\naction, as defined by the provisions of this section, and any\n\ndependent of a current or former prisoner of war or person missing\n\nin action, upon being duly accepted for enrollment into any state-\n\nsupported institution of higher education of any type, or state-\n\nsupported technical or vocational school, shall be allowed to obtain\n\na bachelors degree, or certificate of completion, for so long as\n\nsuch former prisoner of war, person missing in action or dependent\n\nis eligible, free of general enrollment fees. Once a person\n\nqualifies as a dependent under the terms and provisions of this\n\nsection, the fact of the return of the parent or the reported death\n\nof the parent will not remove the dependent from the provisions or\n\nbenefits of this section.\n\nB. For purposes of this section:\n\n1. \"Prisoner of war\" and \"person missing in action\" means any\n\nperson who was a resident of the State of Oklahoma at the time he or\n\nshe entered service of the United States Armed Forces, or whose\n\nofficial residence is within the State of Oklahoma, and who, while\n\nserving in the United States Armed Forces has been declared to be a\n\nprisoner of war, or to be a person missing in action as established\n\nby the Secretary of Defense; and\n\n2. \"Dependent\" means any child not to exceed twenty-four (24)\n\nyears of age born to or adopted by a parent who served or is serving\n\nas a prisoner of war or was declared by the United States Armed\n\nForces to be a person missing in action.\n\nC.
