Stat. tit. 70, § 70-23-102","heading":"Advertising unlawful","body":"It shall be unlawful for the Authority to permit any individual,\n\ncompany, corporation, or organization to advertise or otherwise\n\nattempt to sell its products or services through the use of the\n\nfacilities controlled by the Authority; and it shall also be\n\nunlawful for said Authority to permit any individual or organization\n\nto in any way sponsor the election of any party or individual for\n\nany public office; provided, however, that nothing in this section\n\nshall be construed in a manner which would exclude announcements and\n\nprograms of nonprofit charitable and educational organizations which\n\nare for the public good. Information programs sponsored by legally\n\nauthorized agencies of the state and federal governments for the\n\npublic good are to be considered proper program material. Provided\n\nfurther, that the influence, direction or attempt to influence or\n\ndirect the program content or programs shown on public television by\n\nan elected official or his representative for the purposes of\n\npersonal gain or political benefit, direct or indirect, shall be\n\nunlawful and that violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor\n\npunishable by a fine not to exceed One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00)\n\nor imprisonment not to exceed one (1) year, or both.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f2d92a0af7df1dfd1d20c750085b155e42b26d3553fb1c13694d724fc71faaef","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-23-101","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-23-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
