Stat. tit. 70, § 70-24-100.8","heading":"Duty for school officers and employees to notify law","body":"enforcement of verbal threats or threatening behavior – Immunity\n\nfrom discipline and liability.\n\nA. As used in this section, \"threatening behavior\" means any\n\nverbal threat or threatening behavior, whether or not it is directed\n\nat another person, which indicates potential for future harm to\n\nstudents, school personnel or school property.\n\nB. An officer or employee of a school district or member of a\n\nboard of education shall notify law enforcement of any verbal threat\n\nor act of threatening behavior which reasonably may have the\n\npotential to endanger students, school personnel or school property.\n\nC. Officers or employees of a school district or members of a\n\nboard of education shall be immune from employment discipline and\n\nany civil liability for communicating information pursuant to\n\nsubsection B of this section in good faith if they reasonably\n\nbelieve a person is making verbal threats or is exhibiting\n\nthreatening behavior.\n\nD.
