This act shall be known and may be cited as the “Healthy and\n\nFit Kids Act of 2004”.\n\nB. Beginning September 1, 2004, each public school shall\n\nestablish a Healthy and Fit School Advisory Committee, to be\n\ncomposed of at least six members. The Advisory Committee may be\n\ncomposed of teachers, administrators, parents of students, health\n\ncare professionals and business community representatives.\n\nA public school may combine the Healthy and Fit School Advisory\n\nCommittee with its Safe School Committee, established pursuant to\n\nSection 24-100.5 of this title.\n\nC. Each Healthy and Fit School Advisory Committee shall study\n\nand make recommendations to the school principal regarding:\n\n1. Implementation of Sections 1 through 3 of this act;\n\n2. Physical education and physical activity; and\n\n3. Nutrition and health services.\n\nD. The principal shall give consideration to recommendations of\n\nthe committee.\n\nE.
