The board of education of every school district in this\n\nstate shall be required to own and display, either inside or outside\n\neach classroom building in the district, a United States Flag.\n\nB. Instruction in the history and etiquette relating to the\n\nUnited States Flag shall be given in one or more grades in the\n\nschools in every school district in this state.\n\nC. Students in all public schools are authorized to recite, at\n\nthe beginning of each school day, the pledge of allegiance to the\n\nflag of the United States of America as enumerated at 36 U.S.C.,\n\nSection 172; however, they shall recite the pledge of allegiance to\n\nthe flag of the United States of America once every school week.\n\nEach student shall be informed by posting a notice in a conspicuous\n\nplace that students not wishing to participate in the pledge shall\n\nnot be required to do so.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4ba7ec2fed67fd333563a765467626b041b5d9d5ce2a8d0b1eb77cc7918566a5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-24-105","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-24-106.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
