Principals and teachers in each public school in this state\n\nmay display in each classroom, school auditorium, and school\n\ncafeteria under their supervision the following motto of the United\n\nStates of America: “E PLURIBUS UNUM (Out of Many One)” and \"IN GOD\n\nWE TRUST\". For purposes of this subsection, \"classroom\" means any\n\nroom of a public school where instruction takes place.\n\nB. Each school district in the state shall permit a principal\n\nor teacher to utilize in a public school building, classroom, or at\n\nany public school event any grade-level-appropriate excerpts or\n\nportions of the documents, writings, speeches, proclamations, or\n\nrecords relating to the history, heritage, or foundation of the\n\nUnited States or the State of Oklahoma including, but not limited\n\nto, the:\n\n1. Mayflower Compact;\n\n2. Declaration of Independence;\n\n3. Constitutions of the United States and the State of\n\nOklahoma;\n\n4. Federalist Papers;\n\n5. Pledge of Allegiance;\n\n6. National anthem;\n\n7. Presidential records and speeches;\n\n8. Acts and published records of Congress; and\n\n9. United States Supreme Court decisions and records.\n\nC. School districts shall not limit or restrain instruction in\n\nAmerican or Oklahoma state history or heritage based on religious\n\nreferences in documents, writings, speeches, proclamations, or the\n\nmaterials described in subsection B of this section.
