Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, the State\n\nDepartment of Education shall submit to the Office of Child Abuse\n\nPrevention the student and school data on chronic absenteeism.\n\nB. The State Department of Education in collaboration with the\n\nOffice of Child Abuse Prevention shall establish a procedure for the\n\nexchange of information to comply with the Family Educational Rights\n\nand Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).\n\nC. The Office of Child Abuse Prevention or staff within the\n\nState Department of Health shall review the reports provided\n\npursuant to this section and, when appropriate and if resources are\n\navailable, provide an assessment of the family to determine if\n\nservices should be offered or a referral for services should be\n\nmade.\n\nD. The State Board of Education shall supply Child Welfare\n\nServices of the Department of Human Services with access to\n\nidentifying information and updated and accurate school attendance\n\nreports of individuals with documented developmental disabilities.\n\nThe State Board of Education and Child Welfare Services shall\n\nestablish a procedure for the exchange of information required by\n\nthis subsection.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"de3296aedffe48cd01edb8c7ab24f956447a27eada366eb9959484923bc3b3d1","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-24-120","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-24-121"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
