A student enrolled in a public school district, a public\n\ncharter school, or a technology center school may wear tribal\n\nregalia during the school’s official graduation ceremonies, whether\n\nheld at a public or private location.\n\n2. Nothing in this subsection shall limit or alter the\n\nauthority of school personnel to regulate student behavior pursuant\n\nto the School Safety and Bullying Prevention Act.\n\nB. A student enrolled in an institution within The Oklahoma\n\nState System of Higher Education may wear tribal regalia during the\n\ninstitution’s official graduation ceremonies, whether held at a\n\npublic or private location.\n\nC. A school district board of education, a governing board of a\n\ncharter school, a governing board of a technology center school, or\n\nthe board of regents of an institution within The Oklahoma State\n\nSystem of Higher Education may adopt a policy pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of this section, which may specify the characteristics of\n\nany garment, jewelry, other adornment, or object that the school or\n\ninstitution finds will endanger the safety of a student or others or\n\ninterfere with graduation ceremonies if worn by a student.\n\nD. For the purposes of this section, “tribal regalia” means\n\ntraditional garments, jewelry, other adornments such as an eagle\n\nfeather, an eagle plume, a beaded cap, a stole, or similar objects\n\nof cultural and religious significance worn by members of a\n\nfederally recognized Indian tribe or the tribe of another country.\n\nTribal regalia does not include any firearm or other weapon.
