Stat. tit. 70, § 70-2405","heading":"Rules and regulations - Requirement of continuing and","body":"satisfactory progress towards degree - Conditions of expenditure of\n\naward monies.\n\nThe Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education may adopt rules\n\nand regulations, prescribe and provide appropriate forms for\n\napplication, and employ such persons, contract for such services and\n\nmake such additional expenditures as may be necessary or appropriate\n\nfor implementing the provisions of the Oklahoma Rising Scholars\n\nAward Act; provided, as part of the regulations adopted for\n\nadministration of the provisions of the Oklahoma Rising Scholars\n\nAward Program, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education shall\n\nrequire that each scholarship recipient make continuing and\n\nsatisfactory progress toward a degree, including the establishment\n\nof an annual minimum grade point average and annual minimum credit\n\nhours to be maintained by the participants. Such regulations shall\n\nalso provide for revoking or rescinding assistance to any\n\nscholarship recipient who fails to meet such required standards.\n\nSuch regulations shall also provide that the funds made available to\n\nstudents as part of the Oklahoma Rising Scholars Award Program shall\n\nbe paid directly to the institution of the student's choice, in\n\ntrust for the student, and on the student's behalf, and shall\n\ncontain appropriate restrictions and conditions that such monies are\n\nexpended only for the purposes authorized by this act. Such\n\nregulations shall also provide for portability of award for a\n\nrecipient among accredited institutions of higher education in\n\nOklahoma in which the recipient may enroll as long as the recipient\n\nmeets requirements of the program; however, waivers shall only be\n\nportable between institutions in The Oklahoma State System of Higher\n\nEducation and waiver portability may be further limited by the\n\nOklahoma State Regents for Higher Education rules and regulations.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"235fa0a491c379477bdce2efbdd52d27a965e4da0365d95d76da75d5d2b0b9ae","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-2404","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-2406"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
