Subject to the availability of funds, an amount equivalent\n\nto the nonguaranteed resident tuition at an institution of higher\n\neducation or the tuition at a technology center school where the\n\neligible student is enrolled in a CTP program shall be awarded by\n\nallocation from the Oklahoma Higher Learning Access Trust Fund\n\ncreated pursuant to Section 3953.1 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma\n\nStatutes.\n\nB. Benefits awarded through the scholarship program shall be\n\nawarded to all eligible student applicants without any limitation on\n\nthe number of awards in any year other than the amount of funds\n\navailable for the scholarship program and the number of eligible\n\nstudent applicants. Subject to the provisions of subsection C of\n\nthis section, if funds are not sufficient to provide awards for all\n\neligible student applicants, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher\n\nEducation shall make awards on the basis of need. Provided, the\n\nState Regents may take into consideration other grants and\n\nscholarships received by an eligible student applicant when making\n\nawards.\n\nC. An award provided by this section shall not be allowed for\n\ncourses or other postsecondary units taken more than five (5) years\n\nafter the eligible student’s first semester of postsecondary\n\nenrollment. The State Regents may award the scholarship program\n\nbenefits for courses or other postsecondary units taken more than\n\nfive (5) years after the eligible student’s first semester of\n\npostsecondary enrollment only in hardship circumstances; provided,\n\nhowever, no eligible student may receive benefits beyond a\n\ncumulative time period of five (5) years.\n\nD. The State Regents may, at the time an award is made on\n\nbehalf of an eligible student, set aside in the Oklahoma Higher\n\nLearning Access Trust Fund funds for the full commitment made to the\n\nstudent. For all academic years, students who have previously\n\nreceived awards under the provisions of the Oklahoma Access and\n\nAchievement Act and who have continued at all times to fulfill the\n\nrequirements for eligibility to receive awards provided pursuant to\n\nthe scholarship program shall be given an absolute priority for\n\ncontinued financial support by the scholarship program above any\n\nstudents who are applying for an award for the first time.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"dc874b6370e9a440c12ab5b532587084ca41f5e7bb65f7f710126deb8622a4db","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-2501","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-2503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
