It is the intent of the Legislature that appropriations made\n\nin House Bill No. 2901 of the 1st Session of the 59th Oklahoma\n\nLegislature in conjunction with other funds appropriated to the\n\nState Board of Education during the 1st Session of the 59th Oklahoma\n\nLegislature establish a new baseline appropriation level for public\n\nschools in this state, and that maintaining such baseline levels in\n\nfuture years should be a requirement prior to resources being made\n\navailable for programs such as the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax\n\nCredit Act, created pursuant to House Bill No. 1934 of the 1st\n\nSession of the 59th Oklahoma Legislature. For this reason,\n\nsubsection B of this section is necessary.\n\nB. Beginning July 1, 2024, and at the beginning of each\n\nsucceeding state fiscal year, if the amount of money appropriated to\n\nthe State Board of Education:\n\n1. For the financial support of public schools and support of\n\npublic schools activities in such fiscal year; and\n\n2. To be distributed through redbud school grants provided for\n\nin Section 3-104 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes,\n\nis less than such amounts appropriated for the fiscal year ending\n\nJune 30, 2024, the tax credits otherwise authorized in the Oklahoma\n\nParental Choice Tax Credit Act shall be reduced proportionally to\n\nreflect the proportion such appropriations fail to reach the\n\nbaseline amounts appropriated for the fiscal year ending June 30,\n\n2024.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"9dabece4dd23163f33547cb8dbb22383c2afa673fb5d9d0ace51b791e597f2af","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-28-100","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-28-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
