Stat. tit. 70, § 70-3-107","heading":"Administrative and executive duties","body":"The State Superintendent of Public Instruction is hereby\n\nauthorized to administer oaths. Upon proper request, the State\n\nSuperintendent shall advise school district superintendents and\n\ntechnology center school district superintendents on questions as to\n\nthe powers, duties and functions of school district officials. The\n\nState Superintendent shall have control of and direct the State\n\nDepartment of Education and shall perform any other duties\n\npertaining to the public school system as shall be prescribed by law\n\nor the State Board of Education.
