The Commission for Educational Quality and Accountability\n\nshall establish a two-year pilot program for mentor teacher training\n\nwith the goal of retaining teachers in this state. For the purposes\n\nof this section, \"mentor teacher\" shall have the same meaning as\n\nprovided for in Section 6-182 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nB. The pilot program shall provide mentor teachers, who have\n\ntaught for at least five (5) years, with coaching tools to guide,\n\nsupport, and assist teachers who have been employed by a public\n\nschool district in this state for one year in the areas of classroom\n\nmanagement, curriculum, differentiation of instruction, and other\n\npedagogical techniques. The goal of the pilot program shall be to\n\nprovide training to one mentor teacher from each school district in\n\nthis state over the two-year period.\n\nC. Subject to the availability of funds, mentor teachers who\n\ncomplete the training pilot program created by this section shall be\n\nprovided a one-time stipend of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00).\n\nD. The Commission shall administer an introductory survey and\n\nan exit survey to teachers placed under the mentorship of a mentor\n\nteacher who completed the training pilot program created by this\n\nsection. The Commission shall create a standardized survey form to\n\nmeasure a teacher's mentorship experience.\n\nE. By July 1, 2026, the Commission shall submit a report to the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives, and the chairs of the education committees in the\n\nSenate and House of Representatives. The report shall include but\n\nnot be limited to aggregate data from the surveys administered\n\npursuant to subsection D of this section and recommendations\n\nregarding continuation or expansion of the pilot program.\n\nF.
