Three (3) years after the State Board of Education approves\n\nan empowerment plan for a school, zone, or district, and every three\n\n(3) years thereafter, the school district board of education shall\n\nreview the level of performance of the empowered school, zone, or\n\ndistrict and determine whether the empowered school, zone, or\n\ndistrict is achieving or making adequate progress toward achieving\n\nthe academic performance results identified in the empowerment plan\n\nof the school, zone, or district. The school district board of\n\neducation, in collaboration with the empowered school, zone, or\n\ndistrict, may revise the empowerment plan as necessary to improve or\n\ncontinue to improve academic performance at the empowered school,\n\nzone, or district. Any revisions to the empowerment plan shall\n\nrequire the consent of a majority of the teachers and a majority of\n\nthe administrators employed at each affected public school.\n\nB. 1. Following review of an empowered school’s performance,\n\nif a school district board of education finds that the academic\n\nperformance of students enrolled in the empowered school is not\n\nimproving at a sufficient rate, the district school board may revoke\n\nthe empowered status of the school.\n\n2.
