Stat. tit. 70, § 70-3-144","heading":"Charter Schools Incentive and Closure Reimbursement","body":"Fund.\n\nA. There is hereby created in the State Treasury a fund to be\n\ndesignated the “Charter Schools Incentive and Closure Reimbursement\n\nFund”. The fund shall be a continuing fund, not subject to fiscal\n\nyear limitations, and shall consist of all monies appropriated by\n\nthe Legislature, gifts, grants, devises, and donations from any\n\npublic or private source, and all monies received by the Statewide\n\nCharter School Board from charter schools pursuant to subsection G\n\nof Section 3-142 of this title. The Statewide Charter School Board\n\nshall administer the fund for the purpose of providing financial\n\nsupport to charter school and virtual charter school applicants,\n\ncharter schools and virtual charter schools for start-up costs,\n\ncosts associated with renovating or remodeling existing buildings\n\nand structures for use by a charter school, and for paying\n\nexpenditures incurred due to closure of a charter school. The\n\nStatewide Charter School Board is authorized to allocate funds on a\n\nper-pupil basis for purposes of providing matching funds for the\n\nfederal State Charter School Facilities Incentive Grants Program\n\ncreated pursuant to the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, 20 U.S.C.,\n\nSection 7221d.\n\nB.
