Stat. tit. 70, § 70-3-172","heading":"Purpose of act","body":"The purpose of the Oklahoma Advisory Council on Indian Education\n\nAct is to recognize the unique relationship that Oklahoma enjoys\n\nwith the Indian tribes located within the state and how Native\n\nAmericans and Indian tribes play a pivotal role in the educational\n\nsystem of the state in light of this special relationship. The\n\nfurther purpose of the act is to establish the Oklahoma Advisory\n\nCouncil on Indian Education. The purpose of creating the Council is\n\nto promote culturally relevant learning environments, educational\n\nopportunities and instructional material for Native American\n\nstudents enrolled in the public schools of the state.
