Stat. tit. 70, § 70-3102","heading":"Meaning of certain terms as used in act","body":"As used in this act, unless the context clearly indicates that a\n\ndifferent meaning is intended:\n\n(a) \"Code\" means this act.\n\n(b) \"State System\" means the Oklahoma State System of Higher\n\nEducation referred to in Section 1, Article XIII-A, Oklahoma\n\nConstitution.\n\n(c) \"State Regents\" means the Oklahoma Regents for Higher\n\nEducation, the coordinating board of control, established by Section\n\n2, Article XIII-A, Oklahoma Constitution.\n\n(d) \"State educational institution\" means any institution\n\nsupported wholly or in part by direct legislative appropriations and\n\noffering courses of education of any kind beyond or in addition to\n\nthe twelfth grade, or its equivalent, as such grade is generally\n\nunderstood and accepted in the public school system of Oklahoma,\n\nwhether called a university, college, junior college, school or\n\nacademy.\n\n(e) \"Private educational institution\" means any private,\n\ndenominational or other institution of the same type as a state\n\neducational institution except that it is not supported wholly or in\n\npart by direct legislative appropriations.\n\n(f) \"Board of Regents\" means the board or body designated by the\n\nOklahoma Constitution or by this Code as the board of regents or\n\ngoverning board of a state educational institution.","path":["OK Code","Title 70"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os70.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"531ab177f1c33b22704d6a86f92603b907599c782fda50a307f9e751b1ab977f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3101","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-70-70-3103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
